BIG science!
As you all know by now, well those of you who are interested in this sort of stuff, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) was successfully started up today for the first time!
For those who don’t know, it’s the world largest particle accelerator: 27km circumference , 100 meters under the ground between the border of France and Switzerland. It would take you about 6 hours to walk around the whole tunnel. That’s BIG! In fact, undoubtedly the biggest science experiment ever!
